It's funny though, a few months ago a descent like this would have killed my knees but today it wasn't bad at all. It was epic weather, with temps in the 30s early, rising to the upper 40s by lunch. After the sledding ended it felt like a long walk back over the ten crossings. Many of the 4,000 footers start with an easier approach, but those are not the parts that make a hike worthwhile.
